FAQ

Pillows

What’s the Sensorial® Memory Foam?

It is special polyurethane foam, distinguished for being made by a sophisticated technology. This memory foam (or viscoelastic foam) slowly recovers its original shape after being compressed. You can check yourself by pressing it with your hand.

Sensorial® inner foams consist of thousands of open cells that act as small springs, providing great durability.

Why is it called Sensorial®?

Because it perfectly adapts to the shape of any person’s body, sensing or responding to his/her body temperature. This helps improving blood circulation, as well as relieving stress and cervical pain. The memory effect eases the force exected by the foam over the body.

Why is NASA mentioned?

The viscoelastic or memory foam Sensorial® products are made of was firstly developed by NASA to protect astronauts from the extreme forces (G forces) they are exposed to during take-off and landing of spacecrafts.

Why do they have such a high density?

The reason is that at higher density (higher material/air ratio in the foam), higher is the durability of the product. Sensorial® foams are specially designed with high density foams (60 kg/m3 (3.75lb/ft3)), ensuring an optimal performance in a long lasting product.

How do you take care of the environment?

All Sensorial® foams, are entirely hypoallergenic, and made without any metallic cathalyzers by MDI technology.

Pillow-top pads

What is a pillow-top pad?

Pillow-top is a pad of foam that is put over the mattresses to enhance the original properties of the mattress you use, like comfort, hardness, time lasting duration, etc.

It has 5 cm (2") thick, and is provided with a high quality matelassé covering, and elastic bands to be adjusted to the mattress.

What are the pillow-top pads used for?

Many times we find out that the mattress we bought is very hard. In this case, a Sensorial® visceolastic pillow-top pad will help you make your mattress much more comfortable. In some other cases, you may just want to experience the comfort sensation of sleeping over a viscoelastic foam mattress, benefiting at the same time of a better blood circulation and improved body posture during sleep.

We suggest the use of a Sensorial® FIT-FOAM® mattress if you need a better support mattress.

What kind of foams is available for pillow-top pads?

-50 kg/m3 (3.10 lb/ft3) Sensorial® viscoelastic foam: it’s a foam similar to that used for viscoelastic memory pillows. These pads are recommended for hard mattresses because it’s made with soft foam..

-50 kg/m3 (3.10 lb/ft3) Sensorial® Latex Performance®: it’s an excellent high density foam. It keeps the spinal column aligned while being a flexible foam. Its high density provides a long lasting duration for the product original properties. It does not suffer deformations over time, and it is harder than the viscoelastic foam.

What is the FIT-FOAM® foam?

Sensorial developed a new kind of superior density foam (50 kg/m3 (3.10 lb/ft3). It also has high elasticity which provides a truly higher durability, without any deformations in time. FIT-FOAM® foams are open cell giving a proper air ventilation (breathability) through it.

FIT-FOAM® foam keeps the right spinal column support while it contours to the body shape due to its high elasticity.

Which are the benefits of the FIT-FOAM® foam?

- High spinal column support without any hardness feeling.

- Contours to the body shape.

- Excellent durability without any deformation in tim.

- Open cell foam structure provides proper air circulation (breathbility.)

- Hypoallergenic foam.

- Specially designed with no metal catalyzers and based on MDI technology, protecting not only you but also both our employees and the environment.

- CFC’s free foam. No ozone layer depletion during production.

What is the FIT-MEMORY® mattress?

Both mattresses have the same height (or thickness). The main difference is that she upper layer of the FIT-MEMORY® mattresses is made of Sensorial® viscoelastic memory foam, which is softer than the FIT-FOAM® foam.

The choice between FIT-FOAM® and FIT-MEMORY® depends on the particular preferences of each person.

People that prefer a softer top ending should go for the FIT-MEMORY®.

It should be kept in mind that both mattresses are flexible, and that the best way to check which one fits you better is by testing them before any decision.

Which are the sizes of Sensorial® mattresses?

Sensorial® mattresses are made in standard and special sizes, ranging from cradle 50 cm x70 cm (20"x28"), up to 200 cm x 200 cm (79" x 79") and 23 cm (9") high.

Foam density is about 50 kg/m3 (3.10 lb/ft3), giving a superior and unique quality in the market.
